Temporary sunbed blocks
Restrict sunbed availability for specific dates
Temporary blocks allow you to restrict sunbed availability during specific dates without removing them from the system. It's ideal for maintenance, private events, or any situation where you need to temporarily reserve sunbeds.
When to use temporary blocks?
- Scheduled maintenance: Block sunbeds that need repair
- Private events: Reserve an area for a special event
- Low season: Reduce available inventory without deleting sunbeds
- Renovations: Mark areas under construction as unavailable
How blocks work
When a sunbed is blocked for a date:
- Not shown as available in the booking widget for that date
- Displayed in gray on the widget map (visible but not selectable)
- Still visible in the map editor with a block indicator
- Non-blocked dates work normally
Block from the map editor
The quickest way to block multiple sunbeds is using multi-select in the editor.
Step by step
- Go to Lounger Zones → Zones and select the zone where the sunbeds are located
- Click "Edit map"
- Select the sunbeds you want to block:
- Ctrl + Click to select multiple individually
- Drag in empty area to draw a selection rectangle
- Once selected, a toolbar appears at the bottom
- Click the "Block dates" button (calendar icon with X)
- In the modal that appears, configure the block dates
Configure the block
In the block modal you can:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Single date | Block a single specific day |
| Date range | Block a continuous period (from - to) |
| Mode | Add to existing, replace all, or remove blocks |
Block modes
- Add: Adds new blocks to the ones the sunbed already has
- Replace: Removes all previous blocks and applies only the new ones
- Remove: Removes existing blocks that match the selected dates
Block from the sunbed list
You can also manage blocks from the sunbed list.
- Go to Lounger Zones → Zones → select the zone → Loungers
- Use the checkboxes to select the sunbeds you want to block
- An action bar appears with the selected sunbeds
- Click "Block dates"
- Configure the block just like in the map editor
View and edit existing blocks
From the map editor
Sunbeds with active blocks show a lock indicator (or different color). When selecting a sunbed and clicking "Edit":
- The sunbed edit modal opens
- In the "Temporary Blocks" section you'll see:
- List of all configured blocks
- Each block shows the date or range
- X button to delete an individual block
From the list
In the sunbed list, the status column indicates if a sunbed has active blocks.
How it looks in the widget
When a customer selects a date in the widget:
- Available sunbeds: Shown in normal color and are selectable
- Blocked sunbeds: Shown in gray and NOT selectable
- Reserved sunbeds: Shown in red (already have a reservation)
Note: Blocked sunbeds remain visible on the widget map so customers can see the complete layout, but they cannot select them.
