Booking statuses

Understand the lifecycle of a booking and what each status means

Each booking goes through different statuses during its lifecycle. Understanding these statuses helps you better manage your business.

Available statuses

Pending (PENDING)

The booking has been created but is waiting for confirmation or payment.

When it happens:

  • The customer has started a booking but hasn't completed payment
  • Manual bookings created by the operator without immediate charge

What to do:

  • Wait for the customer to complete payment
  • Contact if it's been pending for a long time
  • Cancel if not completed in 24-48h

Confirmed (CONFIRMED)

The booking is confirmed and ready for the visit day.

When it happens:

  • Payment has been completed successfully
  • A booking has been manually confirmed

What to do:

  • The booking will appear in the corresponding day's list
  • The sun loungers are blocked for that customer
  • The customer receives a confirmation email with QR code

Completed (COMPLETED)

The customer has arrived and check-in has been done.

When it happens:

  • An operator scans the customer's QR code
  • It's manually marked as completed

What to do:

  • The booking is now finished
  • Useful for attendance statistics

Cancelled (CANCELLED)

The booking has been voided.

When it happens:

  • The customer requests cancellation
  • The operator cancels the booking
  • A refund is processed

What to do:

  • The sun loungers become available again
  • The customer is notified by email

Status flow

PENDING → CONFIRMED → COMPLETED
    ↓           ↓
CANCELLED   CANCELLED

Manually change status

  1. Open the booking details
  2. Click on the current status
  3. Select the new status
  4. Confirm the change

Important: Changing to "Cancelled" will automatically release the sun loungers.

Statuses in the calendar

In the calendar view, each status has a color:

Impact on availability

  • Pending: Sun loungers are temporarily reserved
  • Confirmed: Sun loungers are blocked
  • Completed: Sun loungers remain occupied that day
  • Cancelled: Sun loungers become available again

Automatic notifications

The system sends automatic emails when:

  • A booking changes to Confirmed
  • A booking is Cancelled
  • The date is approaching (reminder)
